During the holiday season, the MTA brings back the vintage R1/9 train that was used back in the 1930’s and lets New Yorkers and visitors hop on for a ride.

This train runs every Sunday from November 25th up until December 30th.

On this particular Sunday, the 2 ave platform transformed itself into the 1930’s and had people dress in there finest furs, gloves, and suits and dance the day away to live swing bands.

I must say in the year that I’ve lived here, I’ve never experienced anything like this and it fulfilled my dream to relive a little bit of that era.

What an awesome December this has been.
