This year marked the 13th annual Open House New York which encourages residents and visitors to venture out and scope out the architecture and design of the many many buildings built here in this great city.

Many of these buildings are not open to the public but these two days out of the year are special because they allow us all to see these hidden gems.

One thing I especially like about this festival is that it lists dozens of places to visit in all the five boroughs which is what makes up all of NYC, not just Manhattan.

But on Saturday I only stood in Manhattan and got to visit one museum which I have never been to, Museum of the City of New York. Not my favorite but I didn’t have to pay admission and the staircase was pretty cool…
