Good Friday on the Brooklyn Bridge

This lent was a rather special one and the most devoted I’ve been out of my four years living in NYC. I won’t explain in detail  but I got to do something I’ve been wanting to do every year but work never allowed. During my lunch break I ran to the Brooklyn Bridge and was able to catch some of the Good Friday procession.

I work about 10 minutes away from the bridge and as I was running over I saw from a distance the cross coming my way.
Cheesy I know but as I was running to the crowd I felt as if I was literally running to Jesus.
I wasn’t able to stay more than 50 minutes but long enough to recite some prayers, follow along as the priest read station 9, and lastly listen to the beautiful choir. Even if you aren’t Catholic I think this is something special everyone would enjoy watching.
